Themed “Ability Over Gender,” the occasion underscores the bank’s dedication to fostering an equitable and inclusive society free from biases and discrimination.
During the event, Union Bank’s new CEO, Yetunde B. Oni, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the institution’s unwavering support for women’s advancement and the inclusion of underrepresented communities in various sectors. The bank aims to advocate for gender inclusivity and recognize female excellence across different fields.
A panel session moderated by Chioma Nwokike, Head of Retail Segments and αlpher, featured esteemed speakers including Chinasa Collins-Ogbuo, Advocacy & Communications Lead at EFInA; Dr. Zahra Modibbo, Managing Partner, Débbo Africa; Olajumoke Daramola, Specialist Advisory Services Africa, Women’s World Banking; and Esohe Adetola, Learning Solutions Manager at Shell Nigeria. The panelists shared insights on changing the narrative around inclusion and creating an environment conducive for women to thrive and excel.
