The City of Houston, Texas, has officially designated October 25 as “Fidelity International Trade and Creative Connect (FITCC) Day” in recognition of Fidelity Bank Plc’s commitment to fostering bilateral trade and economic development between Houston and Nigeria.
Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston issued a proclamation, commending Fidelity Bank Nigeria for its dedication to enhancing international trade and economic development. The proclamation acknowledges the role of the Fidelity International Trade and Creative Connect summit in promoting bilateral trade between the two regions.

The second edition of the Fidelity International Trade and Creative Connect (FITCC) expo took place on October 24 and 25, 2023, in Houston, Texas. The event featured exhibitions by more than 160 businesses included panel discussions and networking sessions aimed at increasing the number of Nigerian businesses exporting to the US market and improving product quality to meet international standards.
Fidelity Bank, known as one of the best banks in Nigeria, has received several awards for its contributions to payment solutions, SME banking, and entrepreneurship financing. The bank serves over 8 million customers through its network of 251 business offices in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as well as digital banking channels.
The declaration of “Fidelity International Trade and Creative Connect Day” underscores the bank’s commitment to promoting trade and economic cooperation between Houston and Nigeria.
