Shoppers, vendors applaud Polaris Bank as headline sponsor of the Fashion Souk

Polaris Bank, a leading digital retail Bank in Nigeria, demonstrated steadfast support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by taking a prominent role as the headline sponsor of the Fashion Souk, a vibrant two-day event in Lagos.

The Fashion Souk, a hub for fashion enthusiasts, became a pivotal platform where numerous businesses sought grants through an intense pitch competition. Alongside financial support, Polaris Bank focused on ensuring customer satisfaction by facilitating seamless transactions using operational POS machines and the acclaimed VULTe app, enriching the attendees’ fashion experience.

The highlight of the event was the highly contested business pitch competition, resulting in three outstanding businesses securing grants among the 73 participating firms. Man ‘n’ Queens from Ibadan, with its focus on eco-friendly fashion, clinched the grand prize of One Million Naira. Hozy Dare Clothing, the first runner-up, was awarded Five Hundred Thousand Naira, while Il’ese, the second runner-up, received Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira.

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Polaris Bank, speaking at the grant presentation, emphasized that these prizes exemplify the Bank’s dedication to fostering MSME growth. The Bank reaffirmed its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and businesses in their scaling endeavors.

During the event, Ijeoma Okolo, the goldsmith behind 2groom Handsmade, lauded Polaris Bank for backing MSMEs’ growth. She showcased her exquisite jewelry line, which featured Nigerian-sourced gemstones.
