Angelheart unveils album “Genesis” to widespread acclaim

Omoseyin Esther Taiwo, better known as Angelheart, has officially launched her music career with the unveiling of her highly anticipated debut album, Genesis.

The three-track gospel album delivers uplifting messages of hope, faith, and gratitude, earning praise for its captivating melodies and Angelheart’s lyrical brilliance.

At a listening event held on Sunday at KWG Place, Mushin, Lagos, friends, family, and fans gathered to celebrate Angelheart’s milestone. Attendees lauded the artist’s creativity and the dedication invested in crafting Genesis, describing it as a heartfelt masterpiece that reflects her passion for music and her unwavering faith.

Angelheart revealed that the album’s production spanned five years, a journey fraught with challenges that could have derailed her dreams. However, her steadfast belief in the project and the unwavering support of her producer and community kept her focused.

“Every track on Genesis is centered on God and Jesus,” Angelheart shared during the event.

  • Durodoluwa: A song of encouragement for those feeling hopeless, reminding listeners that God is the ultimate source of strength and provision.
  • Confusion: A thanksgiving anthem, celebrating survival and triumph over adversity, leaving enemies bewildered by God’s blessings.
  • Ijo Ope: A vibrant medley of praise, expressing gratitude to God.

“These songs are meant to inspire, uplift, and remind people of God’s unwavering presence and power,” she explained.

Opeyemi Kolawole, CEO of KWG Entertainment and producer of Genesis, shared the story of how he discovered Angelheart’s talent years ago when she was a backup singer. Impressed by her vocal prowess and determination, he signed her to his label and supported her transition into professional music.

“When we reconnected, it was easy to see her potential. We invested time and effort into training her and refining her skills, which has culminated in the high-quality music we hear today,” Kolawole said.

He also highlighted the financial hurdles that extended the album’s production timeline, emphasizing the importance of perseverance. “Vision drives provision,” he noted. “We pushed through the challenges to create something remarkable.”

For Angelheart and her team, Genesis is just the beginning. Kolawole described the album as a launching pad for greater accomplishments. “This is our statement to the industry, showcasing our capabilities and commitment to excellence. We’re excited about what the future holds,” he said.

Genesis is set to be officially released in February 2025, offering fans a chance to fully experience Angelheart’s musical journey. With its inspirational themes and heartfelt delivery, the album is poised to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s gospel music scene.

Angelheart’s debut not only marks a personal achievement but also underscores the transformative power of faith, resilience, and community support in realizing one’s dreams.
