Lagos State Schools Set to Reopen on September 4th, 2023

The Lagos State Government has issued a directive for the resumption of all schools below the tertiary level on Monday, September 4th, 2023.

This decision aligns with the approved Y2023/2024 Harmonised Academic School Calendar by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education.

Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, the Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), emphasized the importance of strict compliance with the resumption date. She underlined the significance of delivering high-quality and sustainable education in Lagos State.

Seriki-Ayeni also called on school proprietors and administrators to adhere to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. Safety protocols must be fully implemented on school premises to create a secure learning environment. The State Government remains committed to providing exceptional education.
