In a recent engagement with the members of Edo Journalists’ Forum in Abuja, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Momoh, articulated plans for robust collaboration with other regional agencies to ensure comprehensive development in the Niger Delta region.
During the interaction, Alhaji Momoh emphasized the pivotal role that coordinated efforts and partnerships would play in addressing the multifaceted challenges prevalent in the Niger Delta. He urged journalists to amplify positive narratives about the ministry’s initiatives, recognizing the media’s potential in portraying the region’s progress.

Dr. Leon Usigbe, serving as the spokesperson for a forum, visited the minister to extend felicitations on his recent appointment. Identifying youth unemployment as a significant contributing factor to regional unrest, Usigbe expressed unwavering confidence in the minister’s leadership. He stated his belief that with the minister at the helm of Niger Delta Affairs, substantial transformation is imminent for the region.
