The second phase of the 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League is set to resume in Abuja, showcasing the board of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation’s unwavering commitment to fostering the sport’s growth and development in the country.
Scheduled from November 17th to 25th at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, the league’s upcoming matches promise thrilling competition among various teams.
In the men’s division, the opening matches will witness intense face-offs, with Nigeria Police Force squaring off against NSCDC, while defending champions Offa VC go head-to-head against COAS Spikers. Additionally, the 2022 National Division 1 champions will battle the experienced Sunshine Spikers, and Nigeria Immigration Service will face Kada Kings.
For the women’s matches, excitement mounts as the 2022 National Division 1 Champions, CNS Spikers, and Life Camp lock horns. Other matchups include Anambra Queens facing off against Nigeria Immigration Service, COAS Spikers taking on NSCDC, and Benue Queens battling it out with Kwara United.

Chief Martin Melandi, the Technical Director of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, assured teams, players, fans, and league enthusiasts of thrilling encounters during the matches. He reaffirmed the Federation’s dedication to nurturing and advancing volleyball in Nigeria despite the perennial challenges, especially financial constraints affecting sports development in the country.
Melandi emphasized the significance of the league, highlighting that the champion would secure a spot to represent Nigeria at the upcoming African Club Championships.
