Oshoala, Nnadozie shortlisted for 2023 CAF women’s player of the year

Nigerian football stars Asisat Oshoala and Chiamaka Nnadozie have both secured places on the final shortlist for the 2023 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award. Eight other talented players are joined, including Thembi Kgatlana, Andile Dlamini, Ajara Nchout Njoya, Hilda Magaia, and others.

Asisat Oshoala, who clinched the award for a record fifth time last year, aims to set a new record with a seventh crown. Additionally, Paris FC’s goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, is a contender for the Goalkeeper of the Year accolade.

Nigeria’s young talents Esther Ajakaye and Deborah Abiodun have made it to the final shortlist for the Women’s Young Player of the Year award. Furthermore, the Super Falcons are in contention for the Team of the Year category, while Randy Waldrum has been nominated for Coach of the Year.

The highly anticipated Awards Gala is scheduled to be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco.
