Senate banking committee chairman mourns loss of Herbert Wigwe, others in helicopter crash

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA expressed profound grief over the tragic helicopter crash in California, USA, which claimed the lives of Herbert Wigwe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings PLC, his wife, son, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group PLC, and two others.

In a heartfelt statement, the Chairman mourned the loss of his dear friend, Herbert Wigwe, highlighting his visionary leadership and dedication to excellence in the banking and financial services industry. He emphasized Wigwe’s significant contributions to national development through initiatives like the Wigwe University project and various philanthropic endeavors.
