Naija youth sustainability forum: Empowering the resourceful youth for a sustainable future

The Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre proudly presents the upcoming Naija Youth Sustainability Forum, a dynamic event set to unite, inspire, and empower young individuals committed to fostering sustainable development in Nigeria.

Scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 10:00 am, the forum will take place at the Lagos Business School and virtually. This unique platform aims to facilitate learning, constructive dialogue, showcase best practices, and create networking opportunities for young professionals from diverse sectors in Nigeria.

Under the theme “The Resourceful Youth: Maximising Opportunities in Today’s Economy for Sustainable Development,” the forum will delve into how young individuals can adapt to Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape, embrace technology, and cultivate entrepreneurial skills to drive positive change. Recognizing the pivotal role of today’s youth in Nigeria’s developmental aspirations, particularly in realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Africa Agenda 2063 Goals, this forum aims to harness their innovative potential and creativity.

The Naija Youth Sustainability Forum will host interactive discussions, impactful speakers, and presentations showcasing sustainable business cases. Confirmed speakers include Prof Chris Ogbechie, Dean of Lagos Business School; Prof Ndubisi Ekekwe, Chairman of Tekedia Capital; Oreva Atanya, Head of Sustainability at Lagos Business School; Maryam Apaokagi, Nigerian Comedian and Content Creator; Editi Effiong, CEO of Anakle Films; Iruka Ndubuizu, Director of Partnerships at Tony Elumelu Foundation; Shalom Chilaru Iboh, Founder of Renew Watts Technologies; Teniola Adedeji, CEO/Co-founder of Pharmarun; Seun Alley, CEO of Fez Delivery Co.

The forum invites youths aged 18 – 35 years, including undergraduates, recent graduates, young entrepreneurs, founders of NGOs, and professionals in the social and private sectors.
