Prominent Nigerian gospel singer, Damilare Odunuga, popularly known as Dare Melody, is grieving the passing of his beloved wife, Adedoyin Odunuga.
Dare Melody shared the heartbreaking news in a statement on Instagram, expressing profound sorrow for the loss of his partner.
DM Multimedia, the singer’s company, confirmed the tragic news in an official statement, revealing that Adedoyin passed away in the early hours of October 24, 2024. Describing her as a cherished figure among friends, family, and colleagues, the company paid tribute with the message, “You will forever be in our hearts.”

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the transition to eternal rest of our beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, Mrs. Adedoyin Odunuga (Nee Odagi), who passed away early this morning, 24th of October 2024. Condolences have flooded in from fans, friends, and the gospel music community. Fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele shared her grief in a touching post, recalling a recent gathering with Adedoyin.
“This is a very rude shock for me. We were together 10 days ago at your husband’s birthday thanksgiving party. I never knew that would be the last day I’d see you. I’m saddened by the news of your demise. May your soul rest in peace, and may God grant your family the fortitude to bear this great loss,” Igbekele wrote.
