The Super Eagles of Nigeria have announced their starting lineup for the decisive Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier against Benin Republic, set to take place at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan on Thursday at 8 pm Nigerian time.
With Nigeria sitting at the top of Group D with 10 points, a draw in this game would be enough to secure a spot in the upcoming tournament in Morocco.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will handle duties between the posts, while Gabriel Osho steps in for the injured Semi Ajayi, making his first start in a three-man defensive line alongside captain William Troost-Ekong and Calvin Bassey. Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi maintain their positions as the right and left wingbacks, respectively, reinforcing the flanks.
