Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson shared his opinion about the recent fight between WBC champion Tyson Fury and ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou. Mike Tyson, at the age of 57, declared that Ngannou is the true champion and praised his performance in the fight.
In the third round of the fight, which took place on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, Francis Ngannou knocked down Tyson Fury, but the British boxer ultimately won by split decision. Despite the decision, Mike Tyson expressed his pride in Ngannou’s performance.
Tyson Fury, who was the overwhelming favorite against boxing novice Ngannou, acknowledged that Ngannou had effectively kept him off-balance and described the fight as “probably my toughest fight in 10 years.”

While Fury’s WBC heavyweight belt was not on the line in the exhibition bout, the fight aimed to boost Saudi Arabia’s reputation as a top-flight boxing destination.
Fury’s next serious bout is set for December in Riyadh against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who currently holds the other three world titles.
Mike Tyson’s praise for Francis Ngannou reflects the recognition of his performance in the boxing ring, even though he didn’t secure the victory in this exhibition match.
