University of Minnesota announces global excellence scholarship for international students

The University of Minnesota is offering substantial financial support to international students through its prestigious Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship.

This initiative, aimed at attracting talented individuals from across the globe, provides up to $60,000 in funding for deserving students to help cover their educational expenses.

According to Scholarship Region, international students applying for undergraduate programs at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities before the deadline of November 15th, 2024, will be automatically considered for this scholarship. The university is renowned for its comprehensive academic offerings and dedication to preparing students to address global challenges.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
– Be an international student.
– Gain admission to an undergraduate degree program.
– Enroll full-time in the Honors program.
– Demonstrate exceptional personal skills and academic merit.
– Submit a high school transcript or equivalent, along with a certified English translation if necessary.
– Meet the University of Minnesota’s minimum English language proficiency requirements, with acceptable test scores from the following:
– TOEFL: 79
– IELTS: 6.5 (Writing)
– Pearson Test of Academic English: 59
– Cambridge Assessment English (CAE): 180
– Duolingo: 110
– Hold an offer for a full-time program at the university.
– Maintain an F-1 immigration status for eligibility.

Application Process:
Interested students must apply for admission to the university’s undergraduate programs. Once their application is submitted, they will be automatically considered for the scholarship. No separate application is needed for the scholarship.
