Date:

Actress Juliana Olayode, known for her role as “Toyo Baby” in the hit series “Jenifa’s Diary,” has shared her emotional experience working with her mentor, Funke Akindele, again in the upcoming film “A Tribe Called Judah.” This collaboration comes six years after her controversial exit from “Jenifa’s Diary.”

Juliana Olayode posted a video on her Instagram account showing her dancing and expressing her excitement about the upcoming film. In the caption, she thanked Funke Akindele for the opportunity to play the character Hilda in “A Tribe Called Judah.”

She wrote, “Thank you for all the excitement and messages since I posted the video introducing the characters of A Tribe Called Judah yesterday. Juliana’s return to work with Funke Akindele marks a heartwarming reunion after their publicized fallout in 2017, when Juliana left “Jenifa’s Diary” due to alleged monetary issues. Her departure led to strained relations with Funke Akindele.

In May 2023, Juliana Olayode publicly apologized to Funke Akindele, acknowledging that she had hurt her mentor and expressing regret for her actions. She attributed the misunderstandings to her limited knowledge of the workings of the movie industry.

Juliana’s return to collaborate with Funke Akindele suggests a mending of their relationship and the possibility of her involvement in future projects, including the sitcom “Jenifa’s Diary.”

“A Tribe Called Judah” is set to hit cinemas on December 15, and fans are eagerly anticipating the reunion between these two talented actresses.
